Northern Romani is group of dialects of the Romani language spoken in various Northern European, Central European and Eastern European countries.

Dialects

The Northern Romani dialects are split into three main groups, a northern, central and an eastern group (CL stands for main contact language):

Western branch:
- Piedmontese Sinti in Italy (CL: Italian)
- Sinti-Manouche Romani in Germany (formerly also in Bohemia), Austria, Netherlands, Belgium (CL: German) and France
- Welsh Romani (Kååle) with English and Welsh as the main contact language (extinct since the middle of the 20th century)
Central branch:
- - Bergitka Romani in Poland (CL: Polish)
  - Čerhari Romani in Romania (CL: Romanian)
Eastern branch:
- Balto-Slavonic dialects in the Baltic States:
  - Čuxny Romani in Estonia (CL: Estonian, Russian)
  - Finnish Romani (Finnish Kalo, Fíntika Rómma) (CL: Finnish)
  - Latvian Romani (Lotfika) in Latvia and Russia
  - Lithuanian Romani in Lithuanian and Baltic Russia
  - North Russian Romani (Xaladitka) in Baltic Russia, spoken by the Ruska Roma
  - Polska Romani in Poland (CL: Polish)
